iOS 5 swipe to camera roll feature demoed – Apple the biggest copycat of them all?

Its been over a week since iOS 5 was unveiled, while many of its new features will be a significant breakthrough for iPhone and iOS devices users, a large majority have actually been borrowed from other phonemakers and their operating systems.

Though Steve Jobs may have accused his rivals as ‘copycats’, I’d like to think that the tech industry tends to ‘share’ each others’ breakthroughs and re-invent / enhance them for their own brand.

Apple may have taken the lead on apps with the first gen iPhone years ago but in iOS 5′s case, that’s alot of features ‘borrowed’ from the likes of Android, RIM/BlackBerry, WP7 and collaborated into one, so how is Apple itself not a copycat?
