Above, the special freshman issue for an August 1954 printing of the Cornell Daily Sun recaps the achievements of the 1953-1954 Cornell team which captured the '54 EIBL/Ivy League title and the NCAA Tournament automatic bid. The EIBL (Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League) was the predecessor to today's Ivy League.
