AUD/USD Technical Analysis June 16, 2011

Posted: 15 Jun 2011 11:57 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The AUD/USD pair fell hard on Wednesday, and is currently testing the support zone between 1.05 and 1.06 with vigor. The 1.05 area needs to hold for the bulls. If not, we could see 1.02 very quickly as there is basically air between here and there. However, 1.02 is extremely firm and should be supportive. If that gives – the market will absolutely fall apart.

USD/JPY Technical Analysis For June 16, 2011

Posted: 15 Jun 2011 03:35 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The USD/JPY pair rose during the Wednesday session, showing that the 80 area is indeed a strong supportive line. The fact that this normally risk-sensitive pair still managed to rise during a very bearish day in the stock markets shows just how strong that area really is. If we can get above the Wednesday highs, we should see more strength.

USD/CHF Technical Analysis For June 16, 2011

USD/CHF rose during the Wednesday session, and at the end of the day was testing the 0.8550 area, which of course is massive resistance. If this area gives way, we could see 0.88 fairly soon. This isn't a reflection of Switzerland so much as a running away from the Euro and into the Dollar. The CHF is strong against almost all other currencies, and the USD is simply getting a safe haven bid at this point.

The USD/CAD pair rose rapidly as the oil markets fell apart on Wednesday. The pair is still in the 0.9850 to 0.9675 consolidation area, and therefore not a tradable event at the moment. (Unless of course you are scalping, which would have made you quite a bit of money recently.) Look for continued choppiness, but if the CL contract in the oil markets falls below the $95 mark, we could see a massive move upward in this pair.
