To be honest, I had no idea what the Blog of Note was all about (check out this link if you are like me). I knew something must be up when I got more than my normal one or two comments every so often. When I saw so many comments from Whose Woods in my email inbox I was confused and surprised. I thought maybe my mother in law had her friends reading my blog since I had posted on two of the books she had recommended for me to read. Then, I thought someone had hacked my blog and sent all those comments.
I was relieved that was not the case, but a little overwhelmed by the news that my blog had been chosen as a Blog of Note. I never expected anyone to read my blog other than obliging family members and a few loyal friends.
I hope my running descriptions will inspire you to run/explore/ be adventurous in the woods nearest you. And I hope my EMS anecdotes will bring a smile (and maybe a tear) to your face as they do mine.
I must give credit where it is due...Alex May began running and blogging long before I ever attempted either. He has always been an inspiration to me in his commitment, strength, knowledge, and kindness. I am fortunate to be his best friend, wife, and running partner. I also have numerous friends who are daily running inspirations. If you want to be truly inspired to run or get a glimpse into the not-so-fringe-anymore-ultrarunning-community check out the blogs of the 50-100 mile runners under "My Favorite Blogs."

I look forward to reading your blogs and hearing from many of you in the future!
