No! Your analogy is dead on, but not in the way you think!
Oncologists treat cancer patients, they don't scientifically test possible carcinogens. They collect anecdotal evidence, not empirical evidence.
Likewise, meteorologists measure local weather patterns, they do not track long term climate change.
Regardless, there is no evidence of man-made catastrophic climate change!
